Powercor achieves Planet Mark certification

This globally recognised sustainability certification supports organisations in measuring, reducing and reporting their carbon emissions while embedding responsible business practices.

What Planet Mark certification means

Planet Mark certification requires organisations to measure and verify their carbon footprint annually, report progress transparently and demonstrate continuous improvement in environmental performance.

The certification framework is aligned with recognised carbon accounting standards and focuses on:

• Measuring Scope 1, Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions
• Establishing a verified carbon baseline
• Demonstrating year-on-year carbon reduction
• Embedding sustainability within business operations
• Engaging employees and stakeholders in environmental responsibility

Measuring Powercor’s carbon footprint

As part of the Planet Mark process, we formally verified the carbon baseline across our operations. Our baseline year recorded total emissions of 116.60 tCO₂e, covering Scope 1, Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions.

This benchmark provides a point for us to continue to monitor our environmental impact and track reductions over time. Working with Planet Mark ensures our data is independently verified and aligned with recognised carbon reporting standards.
