Our ESG policy

Environmental, social and governance policies

Powercor is committed to making a positive impact on the world by integrating ESG principles into our business practices. We believe that running a sustainable business is not only responsible but also essential for long-term success. Our ESG commitment is reflected in the following areas:

Environmental

We are dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint and minimising our impact on the environment. We aim to lower energy consumption, decrease waste production, and support renewable energy sources. As part of this pledge, we take a wide range of steps including running our office on solar power, providing EV charges to staff and visitors and recycling our waste correctly. Any fluorescent tubes are recycled in partnership with Recolite and all batteries are similarly recycled according to regulations. We also encourage clients to use 3D printed light fittings made from recycled fishing nets that offer a cradle-to-grave solution, minimising their carbon footprint.

Social

We value our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate. We maintain a diverse and inclusive workplace, prioritise employee well-being, and actively engage in philanthropic efforts to support local communities. You can find more information on how we are actively supporting charities and the local community here.

Governance

We uphold the highest standards of corporate governance, transparency, and ethics. Our board of directors is committed to overseeing our ESG efforts and ensuring accountability throughout the organisation. All staff are health and safety trained, members of the ECA and take regular CPD courses and learning opportunities.
