There is a new product that has come to the marketplace, to accommodate new technologies – Combined 13amp plug sockets with two usb ports for charging phones ipads etc.
The benefits are to enable the user to be working on their device as well as being able to charge the batteries simultaneously. The great thing about this is that you now have the use of 2 sockets and 2 USB ports within the same module.
Total charging rate is 3 amp via a 2 amp socket and a 1 amp socket, amperage is NOT shared between sockets. The charge provided by these sockets is also greater than the standard charging method.
They come fully CE tested and comply with the following:-
- BS: 5733 : 2010 + A1 : 2014
- EN: 60950-1
- BS: 1363-2: 1995 + A4
These new sockets come in many different finishes and brands and can be installed to existing dwellings without any disruptions. There is also a cheaper white plastic version available to suit smaller budgets.
