(Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality.) Powercor continually reach unprecedented levels of HSEQ management and aim to be market leaders in our industry. Powercor contracts external Health, Safety and Environmental Consultants to ensure compliance of current legislation along with recruiting internal employees qualified in the day to day management of HSEQ. Regular Safety meetings with all levels of our workforce ensure that everyone is aware of their role in HSEQ throughout the company.
Powercor is proud to have qualified for, and been awarded, a number of external accreditations including CHAS and Constructionline.
We also work closely with our HSE Consultants to achieve the following ISO accreditations (Internal Organisation for Standardisation)
- Environmental Management (ISO 14001)
- Quality Management (ISO 9001)
Powercor ensures that all paperwork is concise, site specific and is made available to everyone involved in its operations. Company sites and vehicles have safety folders with company procedures, first aid and fire fighting equipment which are all readily available.
Powercor operates a ‘No Blame’ culture. All staff are open and honest in HSE matters and are extensively involved in the near-miss, incident and accident reporting system. Good communication between management, foremen, operative and office staff ensures the success of Powercor’s achievements to date.
